Michael Phelps without a doubt is the most decorated Olympian that ever lived. Recently making history at the 2012 London Summer Olympics, Phelps secured his spot in history earning three medals (and counting) to move his grand total to a whopping 19. At just 27 years of age, it would appear the swimming giants has everything…except for a place to call home?
TMZ recently reported Michael finally sold his Fells Point condo, but for a loss. Measuring at 4,080 square feet, the 3 bedroom/3.5 bath bachelor pad was home to Phelps for five years. Boasting floor-to-ceiling windows, a rooftop lounge and panoramic views of Baltimore City, one can only wonder if the Charm City native will find new digs closeby or elsewhere (hopefully he won’t leave!).
While the jury may still be out on where the Olympian will lay out his welcome mat, the million dollar question is should he hire a decorator? As with any bachelor (except for former bachelor, Justin Timberlake who has professed his love for design), one would expect for his home to focus more on gadgets and less on decorating. His former Baltimore home is an example of minimal styling and basic function. With all of his earnings and various sponsorships, perhaps a good interior stylist is in order.
