Greetings from Arizona!
This month has gone by sooo fast (I feel myself saying the same thing actually about all the other months) and now find myself in the land of heat, more heat and desert. As I take an extended stay in Arizona, I look forward to “longer days” (as New York is two hours ahead) and exploring the area. I have always been a fan of Phoenix and Scottsdale, but know there is much more to this area than just those lovely places.
One of the benefits to being in 100+ degree weather is there is no excuse to go outside lol. And with the Olympics on, you can believe that I have no shame in putting the feet up with the laptop and cheering on Team USA. If you are like me and enjoy team sportsmanship and competition, I encourage you to host a mini summer Olympics viewing party (see “The Host’s Guide to Throwing a Summer Olympics Party“). Even though they have already begun, there is always a chance to round up the troops and celebrate your fave athletes.
I must say that there have been some great highlights and very big upsets as many expected top contenders have not performed as expected. On a more positive note, I was happy to take a peek inside many of the athlete’s temporary pads (see “Take a Mini Tour Inside the 2012 Olympic Athlete’s Village“) which reminds me of…BACK TO SCHOOL!
For the month of August, we will be covering dorm room decorating tips along with back to school organizing ideas. I always enjoyed the time prepping for the school year with getting my backpack ready (and full of school supplies), organizing my desk area and readying locker accessories (yeah – I was a bit of a dork
). So stay tuned and I (or we) hope you enjoy!
Sincerely,
Tanvier
