I have always known The Land of Nod to be a resource for posh children’s furnishings, but boy oh boy did they outdo themselves with their new fall collection. As a very recent newlywed, touring a preview of the collection instantly made me want to have children! Seriously – who could pass up those adorable decoratives that would put your child’s room in the running with Suri Cruise?
Upon entering the private space (the setup was in a great Manhattan loft), I fell in love with everything I saw. From afar, the new collection reminded me of a fabulous campground and enchanted retreat full of rich colors and accents. The Land of Nod did a fantastic job of providing more opportunities to design for both girls and boys. There were fanciful hues for the princess at heart, striking colors for the bold rocker and plenty of plaids and prints for the rustic gentlemen-in-training.
The Land of Nod has its own personal trends and statements with great finds in gingham, plaid, stripes and ruffles. Their assortment of lighting is probably the most diverse I have seen for a children’s line as there are industrial interpretations along with contemporary treasures.
Are you now dying to see a preview? I promise that if you don’t yet have children, you will soon create a small chest for your future little one. Take a visual tour through the new 2012 fall collection from The Land of Nod. To view more items, visit them online at www.landofnod.com
