Well, well, well- just when we thought the Kardashians couldn’t expand their brand any more…they did. The sisterly trio known as Kourtney, Kim and Khloe has recently launched Kardashian Kollection Home, a collection of luxe home furnishings and housewares for the average doll. News surfaced late last year (see “The Kardashians to Launch aHome Collection?”) regarding this potential endeavor and it now appears it has finally come to fruition at Sears.

Whether you are a fan of the Kardashian girls or just love stylish home accents, their new home collection has an assortment of bedding and bath products, décor and housewares for you to scan. From the look of things, the K sisters are pretty excited about their new line. “We poured our hearts and souls into this project and I personally am just so proud of what we’ve accomplished together,” tells Khloe Kardashian Odom on her blog.  “I love every single piece of the HOME Kollection and I know you will too!”

The collection does a great job of providing consumers with a variety of design options for their home. If you love animal prints then you are going to have a field day with pieces like the Desert Dreams Bedding collection that model a signature leopard print pattern against chocolates and other neutral hues (this is one of Kourtney’s faves). There is also a strong use of purples and grays for those who want a little more elegance in their design palette.

Guilty of typical threads. Sorry ladies, we love seeing your fashions and drama on television, but this collection does not scream innovation or much originality (in our opinion of course). There are definitely some great moments with accent pillows (Desert Dreams Decorative Pillow is really nice) and bath textiles (New York Dreamer Black Hand Towel is awesome!), but much of the meat of the collection (bedding that is) does not really impress. Maybe it was the excessive use of polyester (sometimes polyester can actually look like polyester and thus cheapen an item’s appearance) or the fact that there are so many lines that look just like this one. As a positive, the Kardashian Kollection Home is at an affordable price point that makes it accessible to a wider audience. So we will chalk it up as a nice try. Perhaps they should take a few notes from Jennifer Lopez as her home collection at KOHL’s is pretty good (see “Shopping the Jennifer Lopez Home Collection atKOHL’s”).
