Last Friday marked the official premiere of Veranda magazine’s House of Windsor. A concept of acclaimed designer Windsor Smith, the open house takes attendees through 8,000 square feet of interior perfection. Running now until Sunday, July 17th design lovers can enjoy a well styled home that showcases the finest furnishings. The goal of the House of Windsor is to redefine luxury through the execution of both modern design and intent. Windsor along with nine other designers came together to create a true showpiece (including two designers on Bravo’s Million Dollar Decorators).

Much of the home carries a consistent palette of neutrals joined with textured furnishings to establish an airy and sophisticated retreat. Windsor Smith herself. The home’s entry hall was the perfect transition into the rest of the interiors as it was so calm and awe-inspiring. Clutter free the natural stone floor anchored a few furnishings that provided both function and grace. By keeping the entrance neutral Smith allowed for the main door’s natural light and pops of color from the exterior enter. The kitchen (Winsdor’s second space) was even more breathtaking. Calacatta marble never looked so radiant in this country-inspired interior. Once again the colors were kept soft and natural recalling outdoor inspirations from trees, gardens and other foliage.
