We have had the pleasure of meeting Iman in person :) She is as lovely of a person as she is ageless. To our pleasant surprise, we hear the former supermodel and rocker wife (has been married to David Bowie for 18 years) is now expanding her klout to reach the home decorating industry. IMAN Home (website not yet live) is set to officially launch later this month and will feature exquisite, yet affordable textiles. So how does Iman plan to premiere her new line? Why at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week of course.
The Somalian born beauty has been afforded the honor of designing the VIP Mercedes Benz Star Lounge at the Lincoln Center. “The gods of the interior decoration must have been looking down on me, because all of a sudden, here was this great opportunity to create the Mercedes-Benz Star Lounge,” says Iman (WWD Fashion).
If her style is anything like her fashion sense, we know her line will be fabulous. This season’s fashion week (previewing clothing for next season) will begin September 9th and will run through the 16th. You can also catch Iman on Bravo as the new host of The Fashion Show.
